Prescription Drug Take-Back Event

Becky invited the boys and I to an event that she wouldn't explain fully. Now we know why. Introducing the "Prescription Drug Take-Back Event" for Utah County. Thanks Becky for including us.
In this following picture you can see the gravestones representing all the prescription drugs we were laying to rest today. Becky is holding a medicine cabinet full of old prescription drug bottles that she's putting to rest.

Here is the mayor, aka the master of ceremonies.

The following videos are all crucial parts of the event today. In no particular order, enjoy!
In this first one, a group is throwing prescription bottles up with a parachute.

Here is the grim reaper. If you're observant you can see Becky helping Joshua and Levi dispose of some prescription medicine bottles. The guys pulling the wagon are yelling, "Bring out your drugs! Bring out your drugs!"

Becky promised me the media would be there in force. Here they are!

The most adorable prescription drug disposer.

Here are three costumes in the costume contest. And the winner of the scariest costume- the old prescription bottle on the left there. He received the most boos and hisses.

Here's the video to show you how it all went down.

Here are the different cabinet members disposing of old drug bottles. The picture after the video is the end result.

And what you've all been waiting for. A special song and dance number to commemorate the event.

And what drug take-back event would be complete without a message from a local drug dealer. Seriously, this is how he was introduced to us. From Becky we learn that he is a volunteer from her class.

These girls teach us the way to properly dispose of our old drugs.

allow me to correct a few of the comments:

we weren't laying the drugs to rest, the gravestones represented the amount of people that die from prescription drug overdose.

he's saying, "bring out your meds. bring out your meds."...not "bring out your drugs"...very different.

we learned a lot that day...we learned a lot. thanks for coming!
