It's been great to have James home more with us. We played out in the snow for a couple of hours yesterday. The bottom picture shows how Candace writes her name!

"Mom, why did you name me Candace?

"Because we thought it was the most beautiful name."

"I didn't want to be named Candace. I want my name to be Pierce."

I love being a mother and today I am celebrating that I made it through one of the hardest days I've had in the last while. These are some cute pictures that we took of Joshua after giving him yet another chocolate chip cookie.

I just thought of something else Candace said today that was pretty cute.
"Boys go to school and girls go to work."
Hey, what can I say? That is the life she knows. She sees me go to work about 3 times a month at the hospital and she sees James go to school every single day. She just reports what she sees.

Candace: "How does Heavenly Father color us?
Me: "What do you mean?"
Candace: "Like, does he use crayons or paints?"
Me: "I don't know. What do you think?"
Candace: "I think he uses paints!"

the past couple of weeks in review

This what happened when I left Joshua alone on the couch with the cookie jar next to him. He was loving it so much that I moved him to his booster seat to minimize the clean-up.

bilateral myringotomy

i finally did it. i made the leap into the world of crafty creativity. or at least i took one step in that direction. with tons of help from michelle, i made candace two tu-tus. they are adorable. cute. cute. cute. i became so obsessed with this project that i spent all day finishing them. at 10:40 pm when i finally finished, i put a call into michelle without even looking at the time. i was embarrassed when i realized what time it was, but even more embarrassed when i realized it was like my fifth time up to michelle's house that night. it was so much fun and so easy. when candace called out at around 10:00 pm i was so excited that instead of our usual routine to handle the situation, i had her come out and try them on. she loved them! she said, "these are just like kate's. now i need wings and a green shirt with sparkles on it."

Our Primary Halloween Party. The kids had a blast. It was at Jessica's mom's house which had the most fun Halloween decorations ever. Candace went as Snow White and Joshua as Dopey.
