Kennecott Mine, August 2012 (part 2)


You might be wondering why I included both of these pictures, but don't be distressed. This is what these massive dump trucks do all day long. They drive up and down the same roads delivering rocks to the smelter and refinery. It's difficult to tell from the pictures, but these trucks are massive. They arrive at the mine in parts and are assembled on site. Later in this post Levi is standing next to a huge tire. Each of these trucks has eight of them and they cost $25,000. They have to be replaced once each year. Expensive.









Levi loved being here and watching the trucks.
