Occasionally we work with Joshua on learning his letters and sounds. He usually wants to participate and has a great attention span for an almost four-year-old. Two days ago while doing this; however, he was not so into it. (Probably because I was interrupting his game of "Lion, The King" where he dresses up as Simba and fights "Scarf ie.Scar") After a few minutes he insisted that he could not remember any of the letters anymore because Candace had given him a piece of candy with coffee in it. A few things:
1. Candace was at school at the time.
2. Coffee causes amnesia?
3. At least he is learning about the Word of Wisdom.

A pretty creative excuse, I think. Fortunately for him I was laughing so hard that the lesson on his letters ended early.
