Hot Air Balloons

We looked out our front door and saw the balloons in the sky. This one looked really close so we hopped into the car and drove over to Carterville Park. We were the only ones waiting in the field while this balloon kept getting closer and closer.

The kids in their pajamas! Candace, Joshua was Levi got a tethered ride in the balloon. They were very excited, but nervous too.

Lift off!

Landing

Two balloons ended up landing at our park. It was really cool to see them take down the balloons and pack them away.

This picture shows what the balloons looked like as they were collapsing.

4th of July

So this is what started out the parade for us. We got great seats on University Ave.

The kids and James played Uno to pass some time before the parade started. It was a really great overcast morning, so it never got too hot.

Yes, this is a picture of what you think it is. Our very own Happy Valley Roller Derby team. Rollier than thou! Wow.

Our kids watching the parade and a random girl who joined us.

The fire department passed out these hats for the kids to wear. They loved them.

Luke was really excited that he was wearing a hat like his dad. Here is he telling James all about it.

They also handed out sidewalk chalk. Joshua wanted to know what 5 + 6 was. He came up with 11 all on his own.

Joshua pretending to have a fire hose.

Check out that bubble!

We came home and rested for a bit then started getting things ready for our neighborhood BBQ. This last picture is of the mini fireworks we did with the kids before it got dark. The kids all loved them.

Luke's Second Birthday

Luke turned 2! I tried to be extra creative with his gift from us and his cake, but it all went wrong. The cake is supposed to be a cloud while the helicopter is obviously flying in the sky.

Luke was really excited about the helicopter. He loves seeing real ones too and lets everyone know when he hears one outside.

Everyone helped Luke blow out his candles.

The cake might not have looked the best, but it was delicious.

Grandma Taylor sent this lawn mower and it was a big hit.

And who doesn't want to see an adorable video of this newly turned 2 year old boy?

Provo Splash Pad

I'm attempting to start posting pictures and updates again on this blog. Last week we went to the new splash pad that opened this summer in downtown Provo. The kids had a blast. Joshua would hardly slow down enough for me to take a picture of him, he was having so much fun.

Beautiful girl.

What a great big sister.

This is what the boys would do when they got too cold. The ground was really warm.
