Hyrum, Utah

We were really lucky to be able to see some old friends that have moved away. They came back for a visit this summer and invited us to join them for a couple of days. We miss the Latorres. We played at a splash pad, jumped on trampolines, had a hot dog cookout, rode horses and visited the Hill Air Space Museum. It was a lot of fun. Thanks for hosting us.

Happy Birthday, Candace Girl.

Candace turned 8 on July 11th. She's been anticipating this birthday for quite some time. She requested waffles for breakfast.

The Saturday after her birthday she invited a few friends over for a little party.

Three happy brothers eating chocolate Costco cake!

I helped the girls sew drawstring backpacks. They had a lot of fun sewing and decorating them.

Water balloon time.

Family Home Evening Fun

Hot Air Balloons

We looked out our front door and saw the balloons in the sky. This one looked really close so we hopped into the car and drove over to Carterville Park. We were the only ones waiting in the field while this balloon kept getting closer and closer.

The kids in their pajamas! Candace, Joshua was Levi got a tethered ride in the balloon. They were very excited, but nervous too.

Lift off!

Landing

Two balloons ended up landing at our park. It was really cool to see them take down the balloons and pack them away.

This picture shows what the balloons looked like as they were collapsing.

4th of July

So this is what started out the parade for us. We got great seats on University Ave.

The kids and James played Uno to pass some time before the parade started. It was a really great overcast morning, so it never got too hot.

Yes, this is a picture of what you think it is. Our very own Happy Valley Roller Derby team. Rollier than thou! Wow.

Our kids watching the parade and a random girl who joined us.

The fire department passed out these hats for the kids to wear. They loved them.

Luke was really excited that he was wearing a hat like his dad. Here is he telling James all about it.

They also handed out sidewalk chalk. Joshua wanted to know what 5 + 6 was. He came up with 11 all on his own.

Joshua pretending to have a fire hose.

Check out that bubble!

We came home and rested for a bit then started getting things ready for our neighborhood BBQ. This last picture is of the mini fireworks we did with the kids before it got dark. The kids all loved them.
